Window Installation and Door Services

Window installation and door services for homes and businesses

New windows and doors measured, set, flashed and trimmed so they open easily, seal tight and look right from the street. Front, back and side doors, repaired or replaced.

Chapter 01

Why an opening is harder than it looks

A window or a door is a hole in the wall that has to keep out rain, air and noise, and it is only as good as the opening around it. A unit set in an opening that is out of square sticks, rattles or leaks. Flashing left out or lapped the wrong way sends water into the wall, where nobody sees it until the framing is soft.

Window Installation is also one of the better ways to improve a property's energy efficiency, since updated windows hold heat in and out better than old ones. Door Services matter just as much: front, back and side doors carry both the curb appeal an owner wants and the security they need, and a door that drags, gaps or will not latch is worth fixing before it fails.

How Fischer runs window and door work

At the consultation in Stockton, Sacramento or Tracy we look at each opening, talk through the kinds of windows and doors that suit the house, and build a quote from materials, labor, subcontractors and the size and scope of the work. Window companies are one of the seven teams we coordinate, and we install a wide range of window types.

The order matters. We measure the real openings, order the units, then open the wall and check the framing. Carpenters fix anything out of square, the window team sets each unit level and plumb and flashes it, and only then do trim and hardware go on. When the same wall is getting new siding, we schedule the two teams together and report each stage back to you. We also handle door repair, installation and maintenance. Any change to the plan waits for your complete approval.

Chapter 03

Sealing, hardware and what to check afterward

The finish decides whether the work feels right every day: weather-sealing around the frame, caulk that is tight and neat, hinges and locks adjusted so a door swings freely and latches with one push, and windows that slide or tilt without a fight. We test each one with you at the walkthrough.

Afterward, open and close every new window and door in a few weeks and look at the seals once a year. If a unit sticks or a draft shows up, call (209) 205-5901. We would rather adjust it than have you live with it.

Three teams, one opening

Each unit passes through the same hands.

Carpenters make the opening right, the window company sets and flashes the unit, and the finish carpenters trim it. Because one contractor runs all three, none of them closes up work the one before has not finished.

Your own schedule and delivery timeline are worked out with you at the consultation.

Your sign-off: the quote, any change to the plan, and the final walkthrough, where you open and close every new window and door yourself.
