Bathroom Remodeling
Bathroom remodeling rebuilt from the studs, with the waterproofing done right.
Waterproofing, plumbing rough-in, tile, glass and fixtures, coordinated so the room is out of action for as little time as possible.
Chapter 01
What a bathroom remodel really involves behind the tile
The part of a bathroom you see is tile, glass, a vanity and a few fixtures. The part that decides whether it lasts is hidden: the waterproofing behind the tile, the slope of the shower floor, the drain connection and the fan that moves steam out of the house. A wet room that is tiled over a poor moisture barrier can look fine for a while and then show soft drywall, stained ceilings below or mold in the wall. We plan the waterproofing and the venting before we choose a single tile.
You deserve a bathroom that brings together style and comfort, and it should keep doing both after the first year. Fischer And Associates Urban Development, LLC is a general contractor that treats form and function as one decision: where the shower sits, how far the door swings, whether the vanity leaves room to stand. We work with homeowners across Stockton, Sacramento and Tracy, from a hall bath to a primary suite.

Plumbers, electricians and carpenters, in the right order
Once the old room is down to the studs, licensed plumbers rough in the supply lines, drains and the valve for the shower or tub, and electricians run power for the lights, the outlets and the exhaust fan. Carpenters then frame any change to the walls, add the blocking that grab bars and shelves need, and hang the backer board. Each team goes in only when the one before it has finished, and the work is sequenced around the inspections the permit calls for. In almost every case we apply for the building permits for you.
We run the job on site planning and communications software, so we know what each team is doing and tell you at every stage. Choices that affect the plan, such as moving the toilet, enlarging the shower or switching from a tub, are discussed with you first. Nothing on the original plan changes until you have given your complete approval.
Chapter 03
Tile, glass, fixtures and the final walkthrough
Tile goes on after the waterproofing has been checked, then grout and sealant, then the glass panel is measured and set against the finished wall rather than the rough one. Fixtures, the vanity and the accessories go in last, so nothing heavy or easily scratched is in the room while the messy work is happening. Every member of our team and every subcontractor we employ is fully insured, which matters in a room this small with this many trades.
We finish with a walkthrough where we run the shower, flush, switch on the fan and look at every grout line and edge with you. Anything that needs another visit goes on a short list and gets done before the job is closed. How the bathroom trades line up
A small room, three trades, and no surprises about who is in it.
This is the usual order of a bathroom job; yours is worked out at the consultation. If the kitchen is next on your list, see how we run a kitchen remodel, or read about remodeling across the whole house.
